The Power of Patriotism is a three-year national initiative that brings immersive U.S. History and Civics learning to K–6 Educators and Learners—especially in communities where access to high-quality Civic Education has been limited.

Why America's 250th Anniversary Matters?

A once-in-a-generation moment to renew Civic understanding—starting where it matters most.

In 2026, the United States will mark 250 years since its founding—a rare generational moment to reflect on the ideals, struggles, and responsibilities that have shaped the nation. The Semiquincentennial is not simply a celebration of the past; it is an invitation to examine how democratic principles are understood, practiced, and carried forward by the next generation.

Why Education, Why Now
Civic knowledge does not emerge overnight, nor does it begin in adulthood. It is built gradually, beginning in Elementary classrooms, where students first encounter the stories, structures, and shared responsibilities of American democracy. When young Learners are given meaningful opportunities to explore history, engage in dialogue, and understand their role within a community, civic participation becomes lived experience rather than abstract concept.

The Initiative’s Role
The Power of Patriotism initiative honors America’s 250th anniversary by investing directly in Educators and Learners—equipping them with the tools, confidence, and instructional frameworks needed to teach civics with depth, relevance, and integrity. Through immersive seminars, classroom-ready resources, and Learner-led civic action projects, this initiative transforms commemoration into participation.

Forward-Looking Close
By grounding Civic learning in history while empowering Learners to take thoughtful action in their own communities, this initiative helps ensure that the ideals at the heart of American democracy are not only remembered, but actively sustained—by the citizens who will shape the nation’s next 250 years.
